My wee Breezer got stung today and her paw has swollen up.

When examining her, my wife actually found the sting among the fur on the back of the paw (it wasn't stuck in or the examination dislodged it).

Now, sometime ago, we'd seen microscopes for sale in Lidl (I think for about £40).

The sting is about 1mm total length.

Here's what it looks like under the Lidl microscope.

Yes, it came with a USB camera which fits in where the eye-pieces go.

Most Lidl / Aldi purchases like this don't actually get used and then go for jumble sale or something.

We're actually amazed it works so well. smile

I hope Breezer is feeling OK. Great pics though. Shame it was a bee, no more bee now!

Indeed. As a mark of respect, I ordered a FoE Bee Saver Kit in Breezer's name. smile

Just get loads of lavender. Mine are full of bees.

I thought bee stings were barbed? Or is that only honeybees?
