The first practice I worked at operated on a fish, bizarre scenario, the fish had tried to eat a smaller one but the smaller one had rigid fin so got stuck in the larger ones mouth.

The small fish was dead, we had to ga the larger one actually cut into its lower 'jaw' to remove the fish. It worked and the fish survived. My one and only experience of operating on a fish!!

I helped once with a pond carp - me and my mate (who had the pond) used the chemical to knock it out, then use other chemical on the wound and a week or two later it was healed...
