Yes really laugh

I'll start from the beginning. Our 7 year old female pug has had two or three mole like growths on her belly for ages but lately my wife spotted one had got bigger and a couple more had appeared. Here is the big one.

She was taken to the vet who suggested having them removed and sent for testing. The Op was carried out and the Vet said once the Fur was shaved, another growth was found and removed. We thought nothing of it at the time and the dog was perfectly happy.

Fast forward to this weekend. We thought we'd check how she was healing prior to having the stitches removed and noticed this:

We're sure the red arrowed stitch used to be a nipple, the green arrow is where the corresponding left one is located, hidden by fur.

The wife will be asking the vet when the stitches come out. She was spayed (the dog, not my wife laugh) years ago so doesn't need them but obviously want an explanation.

To be fair to the Vet it could be He/She identified it as a problem during surgery. Better off than on in that case.

Certainly looks like one less nipple! hehe

I wouldn't worry, not like it's really needed is it!

Speak to your vet but any changes to a nipple then they are best off removed.

Not overly fussed about the dog being one nipple down. She doesn't need them and if it had an issue we'd have it straight off no problem.

More that the vet 100% said she found another growth, nothing about infected/problem nipples.

I'd like to think she'd be able to tell the difference.
