Pet Insurance for 2 Dogs

Hi All,
We've currently got our pet insurance for Dog 1 - 3 years old - with John Lewis. She's a Cockapoo (Working Cocker Spaniel Mum, Poodle Dad). Mum and Dad superb health as is she.
Used them for years, very happy, always pay out easily. Minimal fuss, UK call centres, 24 hours 0800 Vetfone cover, like it. Good package.
We've just got another dog - same breed, from the same breeder (Same dad, different mum) and she is a 10 week old pup.
Gone to add her to the existing policy as a multi dog thing, and we're now looking at the best part of £80 a month (Its £74 something).
That to me feels rather expensive. Granted, the cover level is superb, and the customer service is brilliant, but I'm interested to know who everyone else uses. I've heard PetPlan are good - its broadly the same price - but I'm interested to know who else is any good.
Must haves are:
- Lifetime cover - so when they are diagnosed with a condition, its covered for the life of the animal, not the 12 months of the policy
- UK call centre. OK, this will appear racist, but I just can't be doing with the hassle of overseas call centres. It simply doesn't work and its always frustrating trying to explain to 'Dave' what is wrong with your dog.
- Decent service. I don't want to have to fight for every claim. John Lewis have been superb at paying out.
Thoughts on a postcard. Interested to know what the rest of you pay too if you don't mind...

We have Same and Jet whippets insured with PetPlan, and to be honest, I wouldn't use anyone else (I have used M&S in the past, but cancelled when they changed a lot on their policies).
We are lucky enough to not have claimed yet, so I can't comment on that part, but I haven't heard of any issues.
We have the intermediate/middle level of cover, and pay around £50 per month for both dogs - they are just over 3 years old.
