We are reportedly picking her up any day soon, any usefull advise apart from spending allot of time with her guiding to food, litter tray etc. we have a shy young male cat already so hopefully they get along along with our chug and British bull dog, both of which will be kept out of her way till older and adjusted.

Our Beauty is partially blind, but she chases around the house like a maniac

Settle her as you would any other kitten - safe room etc

We used a baby travel gate rather than closing the door so she could smell through it & our other cat could see & smell (it has mesh rather than the traditional gaps)

Don't move your furniture around frequently as it will confuse her

Don't let her outside, unless you train her on a lead

She'll need noisy/smelly toys - ping pong ball on a hard floor, rattle or bell in ones on carpet, catnip etc

Beauty loves these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161120909163 she can carry the red & white striped one around all day. Her favourite trick is to let it roll down the stairs & chase it, then carry it back up to chase it down the stairs again; we have 3 flights of stairs...

She walks like an elephant not like a cat, we call her thunder paws smile

We've also bought a stainless steel water fountain so she can hear it, as she loves playing in running water

Congratulations smile

Good luck with your new baldy.I have a sphynx called Indy. Theses cats as you may already know need bathing regularly. Hopefully your breeder will already be bathing her. If anything like mine have plasters at the ready, he hates being bathed. They love the warmth and will welcome a nice big blanket to snuggle up in.

Here's my boy.

Well got her. Took her straight to the vets for some advise and we have anti biotics, anti inflammitory stuff and something else however..... She may have the feline herpies virus which could be causing the eye issues and if so it may be prudent to put her to sleep...? A it's unfair to expose our other healthy cat to it and B whilst she is eating and playing well now her eyes must be very sore whilst she has had this and if it flairs up in future she will be in pain.

Ideas?
