Lettycat is 8, used to be the one that ate all the pies - totally my fault frown - but has been a 'perfect' weight according to vet for a couple of years now. She's a housecat because she has dodgy hips, birth defect we think.

Over the last few weeks/month or two I've noticed she's snoring when asleep. Her activity levels, ridiculous greed, inventive attention-seeking are all unchanged. Isn't sleeping noticably more or less than she used to.

Ought I be bothering the vet with this?

Cheers in advance.

Any increase in sneezes? If you look straight at her is there any sign of asymmetry? If yes I would get checked out, otherwise probably just monitor for a bi. Also any increase in swallowing efforts, esp when eating, just need to keep an eye that there's no abnormalities occurring in the mouth.

Always difficult to know with changes like this as it is quite vague!

Our male cat has started to snore during his sleep as well (Also an indoor cat)

Been like it for about 6 months, been for his routine check ups and he's fit and well, maybe it's just an age thing? he's about 9 now.

Unless your cat shows any other signs of being unwell, I'm sure she is OK.

Goes without saying tho, if you have any concerns, I quick vet checkup is the way forward.

Pepi will be 6 in April & he snores; has done for about 2 years now

He's in perfect health but a tiny bit overweight

I hadn't thought anything of it TBH, other than how cute it is!
