Hey guys,

We have two cats both brothers and 7 years old. They are house cats so not been outside and as far as we know are very happy.

Since July 14 Milo has been using the dining room floor as the litter tray (but only for number 2’s), however this is not always regular maybe once or twice a fortnight. I am concerned as this week it has been every night and I am starting to think there is more to it.

As I said it started last July, it was the first time we had gone away for a long weekend; we put down automated food bowls and a second litter tray. This litter tray was in the Dining room in the exact spot where Milo now goes to the loo! This instantly got me thinking that he just preferred that litter tray (there normal one has high sides and a roof) and is trying to give us the message.

Other than the toilet incidents he is a very chatty, sociable soft bugger who loves a scrap, play and cuddle and pretty much spends his awake hours purring away like a loon.
He is a little skittish when it comes to noises, we just got a bread maker last week and he freaks when it makes a noise, or if the doorbell goes he will run and hide under our bed. There are also times when he does not get along with his brother and they will scrap and hiss so not sure if that is also causing him a bit of stress.

Any ideas where to go with this?

It's worth having a good read of the above, excellent advice by feline specialists. I refer to it frequently and it it is easier for me to share than write out lots of info (bit lazy on.my part sorry!)

I trust the advice they give.
