As per title really, would either my cat or dog know that me and my dad are related - if so, do you reckon they're intelligent enough to figure out I'm my dads son?

Funny question....however, may I suggest that 'yes' I think they might?

My justification being that animals have a sense of smell that is a million miles more sensitive than ours. Many animals interpret and engage with the world using their sense of smell as a primary resource.

Hence, it is likely that relatives have a similar odour to each other, sharing similar genes - so it not beyond the realms of possibility that animals can detect that, no?

Whether they'd be that bothered, or do anything different with that information though is anyone's guess!

Indulging the lunacy, dogs are very perceptive of vulnerability etc so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

1. Do you have a milkman?

2. Have the cat or dog seen the milkman?

3. Do you look like the milkman?

Probably can as animals are pretty good at the whole family thing.
