Original owner sold the poor thing on Gumtree, only for purchaser to do the dirty some time later.
Original owner (traced via chip) has closed arsebook profile as she was getting "dogs" abuse... (Acquaintance of the missus)

A lady has come forward saying she left him at the station.
Apparently she went to buy him off Gumtree but when she arrived it was a different dog to the one in the pic. The owner then sped off, leaving her and her young daughter with the dog. They had to get the train back to Aberdeen and, apparently, the woman panicked and tied him up at the station, telling staff he wasn't their dog.
It's time legislation around the sale of dogs was tightened up, IMO. People shouldn't be allowed to sell dogs on Gumtree.
But there is a happy end to this story. Kai will now have the pick of homes in the UK and the SSPCA has raised thousands as a result. There are a growing number of Shar Peis in rescue centres. People tend to get rid of them when the animals are doggy teens as they are known to be even more stubborn during this period. They also often need eye operations because of entropion (like, I think, Kai) and suffer from skin conditions and are prone to ear infections because they have tiny ear canals. People buy them as cute, wrinkly puppies, but they are often badly bred in puppy farms or not by recognised, respected breeders and these ones are more prone to illness.
Lovely dogs though.

Well yes, you have to hope so. But it is a Shar Pei, now Shar Peis are great for the right people, but they are also fighting dogs going back into history - I have to question whether there may be some reason why it's moving from place to place. Maybe it's aggressive against other dogs.Personally, having two dogs and previous dogs before, I think it's important that people understand better what sort of dog they should have before going ahead. Too many people just get a dog they like the look off and that's often not the best way to do it.
I suspect in this case the dog has proved too much for it's previous owners, I'm not supporting what they've done disposing of it but nor am I supporting them getting it in the first place, it's highly likely to be a dog that needs a more specialist owner because for many docile with little exercise is really what many need.
