Bengal Cat - Biting Force
Discussion
Something I've wondered for a little while. Do Bengals have a greater biting force than other cats?
Reason I ask is because short of a medium sized dog, there's been no animal that's managed to 'hurt' me through sheer force (unless it's due to their sharp teeth)
However, my little Bengal's new game is to grab my toe whist I'm in bed; through both a thick wool blanket and a heavy feather duvet. It hurts! Really hurts. And it's sheer compression, not the sharp teeth, so doesn't break the skin.
Google returned no results.

Not that I am aware of. But as they are generally quite a feisty breed they may use their play bite more willingly.
He obviously knows the difference re play and meaning it which is the most important thing!
I had a little moggy who would grab my hand in feisty play and then change to licking it, he rarely bit down hard (unless my hand was under a blanket) yet he could bite a mouse head off its body very efficiently!!He obviously knows the difference re play and meaning it which is the most important thing!
