i have a wonderfully crap cat named betty. totally chilled and relaxed and has never bitten or scratched anyone in the 2yrs i've had her.

the first time we tried introducing her to another cat, another chilled dude called ralph, they fought so badly we could only stop them by throwing towels over them and keeping them in seperate rooms.

the second time she was looked after by a friend for a week who has a kitten. she basically spent the week eating all its food and bullying it.

i'm now cat sitting another friend's cat [daisy] for 2 weeks over xmas. apparently her cat is also a bit of a bolshy loner [both are house cats which may explain it] and i'm dreading 2 weeks of fighting, territorial marking and general drama.

also both cats are super picky when it comes to litter. bets used to no.2 on the floor but hasn't done for months now. daisy needs two litter trays as she'll no.2 on litter but only no.1 if the tray is empty. this means 3 litter trays, where the hell am i supposed to put them relative to each other?

any tips to create feline harmony [i've run out of feliway and you can;t buy it here] and prevent my xmas being a total nightmare?

A water pistol/house plant water spray is usually an excellent fight stopper - and also to stop unwanted behaviour such as shinning up the curtains.
Ours were little b's as kittens but it very quickly got to the point that to stop something just required the sprayer to be shaken not squirtedsmile

Can you get Pet Remedy delivered to you?

It's (IMHO) far better than Feliway & as its all natural products 'should' get through C&E?

You are asking a lot, cats don't tend to mix and match in each others homes like dogs do, takes time and patience. Can you not just keep them separate? Some cats esp are just meant to be loners.

How do you initially introduce them to each other? Look up International Cat care, fantastic site full of cat behaviour tips including how to introduce 2 adult cats to each other.
