Two of our little monsters were chasing each other around tonight. Next thing I know my glasses fly off and my head has been used as a kitty launch pad. I now have a 6" bloody scratch running from above my eyebrow to my chin. Luckily they only got me just under my eye. I don't even know which two it was!

Pic will be uploaded as soon as I work out how, and after copious quantities of Savlon applied. Gits.grumpy

Who else has got a stupid injury from their "beloved" pets? hehe

Ouch!

This is one thread that reallly is worthless without pictures wink

I have 3 claw scars on either side of my calf; the day after the wedding, Beauty was 'playing' through the patio windows with her playmate, the black cat from next door (or so she (& we) thought). Suddenly, she was screaming & hissing, her tail was up and she was very distressed. Both cats were - the glass was shaking as the other cat tried to get through the glass at her. I ran up to scare the other cat off; as Beauty is blind & was in distress, she didn't see or hear me until I was at the door to open it. She turned, and I had the full brunt, hackles & tail raised, claws out & stuck in a humans leg clinging there for a few seconds before running off. I opened the door, threw the bucket of cold water over the strange cat & then realised I had blood pouring down my leg.

It took us 4 hours to calm Beauty down frown

Awesome smile I have plenty of scratches and cuts etc from playing with Lola she is better than she used to be as a kitten when she was learning how and when to use her claws I looked as though I had been self harming/trying to slash my wrists. All good fun smile

When our dog Bentley was a pup he was easy to wind up and would bounce around the room barking and give a playful nip if you stuck your hand out. Foolishly I put my head at floor level and he caught my ear lobe. Thankfully it didn't go right through but it bled like mad. Didn't hurt, my wife said I think I should stop because you're bleeding! Dogs 9 now and had a funny 5 minutes this morning when I got out of bed. Crazy animal. That and our parrot that sings and dances its turning into a mad house....

Our cat Lola jumped down from the fence onto a wooden bench, unfortunately her paw went through the gaps in the seat and she got stuck. My youngest daughter witnessed this so went to help he get out, unfortunately Lola was quite distressed and sunk her claws into my daughters arm. She ended up spending 2 days in hospital as the wound got infected and started tracking. We didn't realise how serious it was until the doctor told us that it could have been fatal if the infection spread beyond her arm yikes

I used to have a horse on loan who was very keen on treats. One day I went to tack her up, forgetting I had a packet of polos in the pocket of my jodhs. Blue obviously realised they were there though, and she bypassed the whole polite thing of asking for a treat and bit down on the pocket. I had a huge bruise in the shape of her teeth for weeks.

Or there was the time I was leading a pony back to his box after taking him out. He wanted to stop and get his nose down in a nice patch of grass, it was freezing cold and dark so I encouraged him to carry on walking. He stamped on my foot and then twisted his hoof round, ripping off my big toenail in the process. I could feel the blood sloshing round inside my boot as I put him away, and I couldn't walk properly for several weeks.

I have many horsey injury tales to tell. biggrin

I do MMA and was at my last training session before I fought at an event. Typically, these last sessions typically comprise of 'the shark tank', so if you're fighting that weekend, you spend most of the training session sparring non-stop. It's pretty tough as every few minutes a fresh opponent steps in while you're absolutely gassed and becomes hard to defend yourself where you're so tired.

I was like a hyperactive gazelle, just leaping around everywhere and with seemingly endless energy and left the session unscathed. Anyhow, when I got home, I was leant over undoing my trainers when the dog walked under me and then decided to jump up. His head caught me right under my eye. Within an hour I had an absolute peach of a blackeye which was somewhat ironic as I'd survived the 'shark tank' only to get head butted in the face by the dog within 2 minutes of being home. I turned up to my fight on the Saturday already looking a bit mangled!

Back in april I shattered my kneecap into 5 pieces whilst carrying our lazy yorkie down a slope she wouldnt walk down, slipped on something on the flat at bottom and went down onto my knee just right to smash it to bits. Couldnt break my fall as had hold of the dog! She was fine, i was then stuck on a river beach under the tamar bridge having to ring a ambulance and someone to come get the dogs and car, and ask a passer by to come put my dogs on leads. My big scary male german shepard was crying like a baby as they put me into the ambulance! Got another op on tuesday to have metalwork removed, this has cost me bloody thousands just because ollie the yorkie is a lazy bugger!

Pics of knee xrays in another thread in health matters section for anyone who likes that sort of stuff!

Cheers, though my injuries are not as bad as some that commented on my broken kneecap thread! I'm pretty sure ollie couldn't care less though, she thought the paramedics had come to see her and might of had biscuits! Scout my gsd on the other hand knew something was up and was a bit protective, was pulling my mother's arms off trying to get at me in the ambulance bless him. Annoyingly once the kind passer by had both my dogs on a lead his jack russell came over to say hello, as was froze on the spot and not stroking him he jumped up and put his paw on my knee, i could have cried! It's quite funny now but at the time not so much! Pretty sure scout growled at him after that to.
