Clicking paw/leg
Discussion
A couple of nights ago I noticed a clicking coming from my labs right paw/leg.
Now tonight I heard it again so I had her walk around and sure enough it's comming from her paw.
Normaly when she lays down this paw is tucked under, not out straight,I just thought this a quirk, now it's got me worried there maybe an underlying problem.
Bless her she's only just turned 4 so I wouldn't have thought it's an age related joint thing.
We have fed her those joint sticks but that has no bearing to this I'm sure.
She's not in pain or limping, and still seems her normal self.
Any ideas Bex?

Hard to say for sure, but the most important question is whether your dog is lame or pained by any particular action. If not, then it's probably insignificant, but if there is some lameness, as is often the case in labs, then it would be very appropriate to get an assessment of what is going on.....aka visit your vet. However, my knees make lots of creaks and cracks with no significant radiological change visible, and as long as I don't run more than weekly, then I have no probs. I can't easily give you much more info without needing to get my hands on the dogleg in question.
If you don't want to go to the vet at the mo, then I would recommend you get some glucosamine/chondroitin supplement, it's hard to swear it works, but it is supposed to act as a protective agent for the joints, like oil in an engine.
HTH in a non-bex way
