I have a dog. For whatever reason, he won't crap in the garden, which is great. At least twice a day, I walk him around the village, dutifully bagging up his crap, and putting it into one of several dog waste bins.

A few days ago, I saw a couple of guys from the local council driving around in a transit pickup emptying these bins. Apart from the fact that it must be one of the worst jobs for these guys to have to do, what can they do with bags of dog crap?

It's tainted, I'd imagine, by the plastic in the nappy sacks, so can't just get chucked into a sewage treatment plant.

Our local council chucks the bags in the back of a Transit with a big cage on the back, the rubbish from this will end up in the local incinerator.
