This is the new addition to the family, Bertie, an 18 month old Basset Hound from the local rescue centre...

Looks pretty much identical to the Basset we already have! Amazing how much droopy skin they have!

Well if I'm honest I don't know, this is back at my parents home (I moved away due to work but its still my house haha!)...

He comes from a background with other dogs in the house, and our other dog seems to get on with everything she comes into contact with so I expect they're all happy as larry!

And me mother hasn't phoned up moaning the place is trashed yet, so can't be that bad!

Looks like he needs to put a little weight on. That's not something I have to say to often. I'm normally advising that the bassetts I see need to lose weight.

I hope he settles in well smile

He looks lovely!! We have a Basset Hound called Fred whos going to be 7 on Monday. If you want/need any advice on Bassets then just ask. They can be hard work and tend to do what they like when they like but they are very fun too!

We feed ours on a premuim dried dog food called Arden Grange http://www.ardengrange.com/ Fred isnt too keen on his meal being completely dry so we mix it in with half a tin of their wet food as well.

Hi Mrs Cal72.
You can use my account but I wish you would get your own.
Try here - http://www.petlist.co.uk
Or alternatively ask (me) cal72 to help you.
Looks like the wife has hijacked my account and being trying to get a new member of the house without me knowing?
P's love you and yes you can get a dog.
