Anyone want a free cat, 1 year old, quite cute to look at. Spayed, fantastic hunter, litter trained but hates humans with a passion.

We have acquired a cat from a 'friend' she is a black/tortioseshell colour, very cute but cannot be left alone with our current cat as she keeps kicking the st out of him. Rescue centres not interested, not just dumping her as I actually quite like animals but have run out of ideas for this one.

Free to good home.

We wanted to downsize our pet quantity due to everyone now being out of the house for long periods.

We managed to rehome 2 cats via this:

Gone within a week.

You're not helping in selling it to a nice cat friendly family.

I live close by, but don't want a difficult cat - an easy going , independant one would have been fine.

No more posting of the free (dead) cat image

It's considered tasteless.

Try your local stables/farm. If she is a good mouser but hates humans this might be an ideal life for her!

Put her on preloved. Its free to advertise and it has lots of members, lots of cat lovers!

On topic though, why would anyone want a cat that hates humans?!

Pay to feed something that doesn't like you..? It'd be like having a teenager, but worse as the teenager at least speaks (a version of) English!

Advertising her as a free isn't the best idea I'm afraid. It tends to attract people who will take an animal on impulsively and often don't have the means or want to provide for it afterwards. Asking a reasonable price for her goes some way towards ensuring the people who take her on will be a more responsible type.

Which cat rescues have you tried? The smaller independent ones I find more helpful than the larger organisations when you need to rehome urgently. They may still need to put you on a waiting list but bear with them if you can because the type of owner sourced through a rescue if typically much better than someone who responds to a freebie add. I would take her on but I have 5 rescue cats already so couldn't rehome her due to them.

Might be worth talking to some local Stables to see if they want a cat to help with mice control.

I feel sorry for the poor girl.

For a cat to hate 'humans' so much it makes me wonder exactly what has happened to the poor little blighter when growing up...

Absolutely my thoughts too...
Maybe she would thrive in a new home with some love, time & care spent on her

Thats my thoughts, at such a young age theres plenty of time for someone to take her on and build her confidence and trust, it takes time but the aggression can be removed.

Yes I agree. A good home and a little bit of time hopefully she would come round.

OP can you post some pics?
