Lump behind my Cats front leg

Hey guys,

My cat was sat on my lap the other night and I noticed a small lump behind his front leg near his chest (sort of armpit area). Its hard and seems to move around when I squeezed it he dosn't seem to be in any pain and is eating fine.

He is an indoor cat although does scrap a bit with his brother (mostly play fighting). He has just turned 4 and other than a bad case of fleas the other month he has been his normal bouncy chatty self.

Have got him booked into the vets later this week just to play it safe, but just wondered what you guys thought it could be.

Most likly a cyst or fatty deposit but a trip to the vet is always wise.

We've had lumps that ranged from sceptic nastiness (on tail) to a blocked pore that'd filled with sebum to various nicks from the other cats.

Can be all sorts, I think I know what you are hoping we won't say, and it's not likely to be that but it's always best to get a vet to check - it can even be a build up of blood or simply a node has inflamed (no idea where the lymph nodes etc are on a cat, it's dogs I've had problems with!).

IIRC the fact that it moves is a good sign..... But a vet will give you a conclusive answer which may be by way of a biopsy if push comes to shove.
