We rescued the "little" fella a few weeks ago and he's been as good as gold. The Pug still sleeps with us, but as Tank is too big, we bought him a lovely great big bed that's next to ours. He's been perfectly happy on there for a few weeks.
Anyways, the other night after several bottles of red, we went to bed, and passed out. Woke up to find him on the bed! Loads of cuddles etc, but that was that. The next night he tries to get on again, and we direct him to his bed, once again with loads of cuddles. Two nights on the bounce now he has pee'd on his bed. Last hight he did it (in the middle of the night) got up, and went to the landing where he started crying.
Long story short, I put him in his fav place on the sofa and he was fine.

Any idea what's causing this? Is it that he's just upset about not being allowed on the bed and his mate is? He's been fine up until now? I thought he might have had a bad dream or something, as he seemed really scared when I got out of bed.

Many thanks.

ps - Mrs C googled at it said something about emitional issues....great.

Bullies are stubborn little buggers, and once youve let them do something once, they will try it again and again and again!

Unfortunately its just him pushing his luck, so perserverance is the game im afraid! Plus, the fact that you let your other dog on the bed, he may be feeling a little jealous! Maybe make your other dog sleep in the dogs bed with the bullie?

I let Beau my bullie sit on the sofa with me once for a day when i wasnt feeling very well, it took me 2 weeks to get her out of the habit of jumping on the sofa and back in to her own bed!

www.bulldogowners.co.uk is a great site to register to, with a broad range of bulldog specific knowledge, and everyone there is so friendly too. It has reputable breeders, showers, rescuers and pet owners on there!

Well, we've given up. His bed was in the wash, so he only had a duvet to sleep on. That wouldn't do so he spent hours whining and pacing around....we let him on the bed and he passed out within seconds and we had to wake him up in the morning.

Bigger bed required.
