Just got our two bengal kittens...Few questions..

Love them to bits. They have been with us for three days now and love playing etc..

However, understandably they are very wary of out presence. Especially the boy. He is a moody so-so..

I keep dry food out at all times, and feed them high quality wet food twice a day. Is this enough?

Also i have noticed the smell is something awful when they go to the toilet. Apart from constantly cleaning the litter tray do you think it is worthwhile investing in an extractor fan??

Our 3 year old Burmese have 1 wet pouch between the two of them at 7pm (the reminders start at 6pm) and dry food out the rest of the time.

Clean litter tray regularly, at least every other day with 2 of them. I don't mean chuck the litter out entirely, just go mining for nuggets (!) and empty those. Full litter change and clean out of tray once a week. Sophisticat and CatSan are very good at absorbing the smell.

Use the best cat litter like Catsan.
It makes a huge difference in keeping smells at bay. Don't use those pointless tray inserts things.

Get them chipped.

Wet food wiont help the smell from the litter tray

I've got the covered trays, that have 2 trays & a sieve type bit in the bottom. I line the sieve in the bottom with Silica Cat litter & that absorbs the piss & smell, I cover that with CatSan which absorbs the solid smells sufficiently. These are scooped out daily.

Full change of litter every other week
