My parents had the outside of their house repainted recently and the dhead painters scraped two House Martin nests away. Generations of House Martins have come back to the nests over the past 25 years or so.

Question is, what are the chances of them returning if I bought a couple of House Martin nest boxes and put them up in the same place??

Thanks in advance.

It seems a favoured nest site.
Pretty good chances with or without nest boxes as long as there are over-hanging eaves.

Yup, overhanging eaves, faces SW and it's got a very unobstructed frontage. I really hope they will come back.
