but this little guy was still alive

he was very cold when we came across them out in the open at the mouth of the warren

otherhalf has been keeping him warm and feeding him baby formula in a small syringe, he is wriggling about now.....if he's still alive in the morning she'll take him to the vets

I thought that from the term "warren" used but I can't find a head/ears/feet on that little fella

Tiny little dude! If desperate, KMR kitten milk isn't too bad for bunnies. Good luck smile

Awwww

Good luck!

Is it worth tryong a local rabbit breeder to see if they have a recent litter he could be adopted by so he gets the right 'Mother' nutrients?

If you have a Wildlife Hospital near you I would take it there. Blueg33 junior works at one and he reckons unless you know what you are doing it will be hard for you to keep bunny alive.

If you still want it checked over it could always be the only surviving... puppy... from your pet rabbit's litter (who also tragically died during the birth).

My Dad rescued a baby rabbit that our dog at the time dug up. She used to sleep under his armpit! She grew into the most fabulous Doe, she had some babies in our back garden, they were so sweet.

She finally died of Myxy about three years later, caught from a dead rabbit that my Dad brought home as food for the Owl we'd rescued.

little fella is still doing ok (as far as we can tell)

he is feeding well and getting wigglier all the time so that in itself must be a good sign

Totally agree. I also work for a wildlife resuce centre and baby bunnies are one of the most difficult to keep alive.

If you need any advice, please let me know and I'll PM you the contact details of our centre who will be more than happy to give you any advice you need.
