RSPCA by AXA pet insurance (cats)
Discussion
Does anyone use an insurance policy underwritten by AXA - as per RSPCA leaflet?
I've looked at Petplan, HealthyPets, Pets At Home and the Gold RSPCA plan seems to offer the best value for money IMO.
But, what if you actually need to use it? Does anyone here have any experiences? At £11.71 a month for 'lifetime' cover it seems to be 50%+ cheaper than other simlar policies.

Not answering your question directly, but I use PDSA for most of my cats (the elderly Maine Coon is with Direct Line as they are a lot cheaper for him). Was most impressed by PDSA service when I incurred vet bills of nearly £2K and repayment of Sammie's cost when I lost him and we'd only paid 2 months premiums at that point. Quick and no awkward questions, and sounded genuinely concerned when I spoke to them advising them of the situation.
Might be worth looking at?

My pets are with Sainsburys and their underwriters is also Axa. I have max payout per condition cover (which is 7.5k) rather than cover for life, this has worked fine for me so far and have no complaints. I had a slight issue once when an ongoing condition for my cat had not needed tx for 18 months, they wanted to put it as a new condition but a short letter from my vet explaining why the illness hadn't flared for so long and they accepted and paid as an ongoing claim.
