I'm sure he packed plenty into his short time with you. RIP Henry
He certainly did The previous retriever we had we used to show and won a few rosettes (so I am told - I was a youngun) henry not so much.
we nicknamed him "henry-no" because of his certain mentality to do absolutely anything he liked
I still remember the day we brought him home and I sat in the back of my dads discovery with him, sucking my fingers
edit - henry sucking my fingers - not me
I don't quite know what to write that's not been written before...
You have my deepest sympathies; I'm so sorry you're having to go through this.
The good memories help ease the sorrow, though, and one of the brilliant things about our doggie companions is that they give us so many of them to remember them by.
RIP Henry-no

Just seen this thread and I am truly sorry for your loss.
Our Goldie has just turned 13 and we are taking him to the Vet tonight to see if he can go on Metacam to prolong his "active" life a bit as he still thinks he is a 5 year old and behaves accordingly and then sleeps for hours to recover.
I'm not looking forward to when his day comes even though I've had to put two others to sleep before now
