Well, the new prison door got fitted at the weekend, so that will discourage it a bit.

Although training the more timid of my cats to use it is proving a pain. As soon as it clicks to unlock she decides she doesn’t want to go through. Have it working as a normal flap for the moment during the day and have the chip lock on at night so she gets used to it.

The other one just bombed straight through without a care.
I taped the latch open for a while while training mine. It makes a noise, but not as much, and when they're used to it, remove the tape.

Won't stop incoming visitors during that time, though!

Took my boy 6 months to use the catflap. It’s still a complete drama 12 months later.

He want at the front of the queue when brains were handed out.

That’s not a bad idea at all, I’ll try it.

I think the novelty of a flap she can actually see through is surprising her as well.

This picture is from around 2017 (with the tape in place!), and shows Raj and Priya looking at me to open the door.

They're lazy, though.

Priya sadly got run over a few months after that, but Raj still looks at me in the same way if he's by the cat flap and I'm walking past...

Why should Raj have to use the cat flap when there is a human nearby to open the door?
