Pleased to see those are as popular as they were with my Akita cross biglaugh

Although his favourite trick was to go and bury the remnants in the garden for a few weeks before digging it back up, dragging it back inside and eating it on the carpet rofl

This is also a winner!

He's not shown any inclination to go burying. But our collie does! She hides Bonios away and when they're lovely and mouldy the Springer finds them and eats them!

Only just caught up with this thread.

What a great result?!

Our two holiday in Exmoor whenever we go away and have the time of their lives. So this guy is now living their dream!

My Mum recently went through the process of adopting a cat, or tried to at least but the big charities were so difficult and demanding to deal with she found it impossible.
That surprises me. I adopted two cats last year from Cats Protection. Saw them on their website Sunday night, sent them an email on Monday, had a phone call with their adoption coordinator on Tuesday, sent them a video walk-around of the house and garden on Tuesday, and collected the cats from their foster home on the Friday. All for a donation of 50 quid a cat, it couldn't have been any easier. They even vaccinated and neutered them.
There's a lot of variation, three shelters refused to give my partner and I cats because we said we wouldn't let them out. Surely transitioning to being in a home where you're cared for is better than a cage in a shelter?

We got a pair from an SSPCA shelter but it was still a bit of a hoop jumping exercise.

The thread title is about trying to find a new home for a big dog and an amazing thread ensued......we are trying to find a similar dog to rehome to go with our many other rescue animals, including 3 dogs, for almost a month now.........it's almost as if they don't want to let the dogs go but we have finally got someone from one of the many charities we contacted coming to assess our property on Sunday so hopefully we might be getting somewhere at long last.

Have great life teddy and well done Mr & Mrs Socks bow

Great pics!

How is he settling in now?

We re-homed a young St.Bernard a couple of years ago and the first month was hellish as he cried almost non-stop cry

Taking nothing at all away from the OP who looked after him very well, but it's like he's been here years.

He's totally at home with our two girls and afraid of the 8 cats. Curious about the chickens, but not in a malicious way. He's right at home. He's an absolute joy to have.
