So sorry, I've lost two to that - they call it the 'silent killer'.

Run free at the Bridge Cadbury, young and well again. Go find Luna.

Hugs to those left behind.

Mrs Roper took the boys to hang with their mate, Pig.

Pig loves dogs. Thinks he is one.

Now all nice and chilled..

Lovely pup.
You've got the waiting game of seeing how big he gets now.
My puppy Laika looks like she's going to be a small dane, but you never know.
Moose can only get in an X5 with the rear seats down, otherwise I'd have to fold him into the boot.

Dogs struggle through cancer hardly giving you a clue that they are unwell. My dear old Rolo passed over with it nearly ten years ago, the pain never really leaves you but neither do the memories, if there is a heaven our dogs will be there waiting for us if there isn't, well we have been blessed by their love. Sleep easy Cadbury. Good boy.

Also apologies for not commenting on dogs that have passed, as the owner of a near ten year old dog who’s dreading that day, I find it too upsetting, but know you have my thoughts.

Thanks all, it's more painful than I thought. I knew the day would come at some time and that she was slowing down but I hoped another year or two.

We'd had a great day, lots of tummy rubs, cuddles, runs on the beach, paddling in the pools. We didn't know she was that poorly. I guess in the end it was quick and she didn't suffer, which is all we can ask for. I think it was we didn't have time to prepare...

Bye Cadbury and thanks for all the fun

What a lovely photo.

I have had dogs that have gone quickly and ones that have gone slowly. You cannot prepare in my opinion.

It just hurts no matter what.

The pain does ease over time, and our thoughts turn away from grief and towards the love we shared with our pets.

All the best
