Little update: Hopefully we collect the new addition to our gang tomorrow...will post pics soon.
Rescue Charities all seem to be too much like hard work nor very cheap either so we have found a private adoption dog that just got too big for their young family in a terrace house (as they often do) and exactly what we were looking for......big 3 yr old Asian Sheepdog b
h...not actually met her yet but present owners adamant she is a big softy and very good with other dogs, animals and most importantly children (as are most LGD type dogs)..........hopefully she will pass the test of meeting our current big, soft fella who will let me know instantly if she will fit in and whether she will be coming home from Devon with us on Saturday.

I'd have echoed most of the above, the larger charities are incredibly difficult to deal with and seem it's quite easy to see why they have such difficulty rehoming dogs unfortunately with their long list of criteria. I understand the pressures and challenges but can't help feel they're over the top, unfortunately.
Anyway hopefully another good end to a doggo thread.
