Eye specialist tomorrow for her final diagnosis and it’s likely it will need to be removed, poor love. But she needs to be pain free and an easy life ahead. Hope your babies are all keeping cool.

Fairly sure dachshunds are solar powered. No amount of trying to get him in is working....

Beautiful Mandy. Soon to be down to one eye. But out of pain and a happy future ahead. We've found a lovely home with a retired lady so she's settling there amazingly and I'll take her for the operation in a couple of weeks, return her home afterwards and hope she's got a quick recovery. She's living the dream, sleeping on the bed with her mum, treated like a queen and is feasting on homemade ice cream doggy treats. Makes it all worthwhile.
Hope you're all keeping cool in this heat!

How did it go? love
She came through it just fine but of course it wouldn't be this madhouse if it weren't for some drama. The vet called preceicely 39 minutes after we dropped her off to let us know that it's likely she had had and is at the tail end of a phantom pregnancy and some fluid was showing. Not enough to abort though and we went ahead.

She's been resting for a couple of days and is back to her usual ballistic self. Ever tried to stop a frenchie in mid air as they try to jump onto a couch?? I have and it's not possible. How she hasn't burst her stitches i don't know so she is now in her crate "jaIl"

Thanks for reaching out, she's had some history (spinal surgery, failed attempt at a previous spay where she stopped breathing on the table). DOn't believe the hype about really expensive dogs that are "pure breeds" being anything but the same hassle as cheap cross breeds.
