Hi All,

I need to procure a wireless (domestic) alarm system. IIRC there used to be a sticky on this forum for a supplier/poster who did exactly that.

Can any one remember who it was?

Cheers,
Phill

If you are in the SE give Spencer ( Westy Pre-Lit) a shout - he serviced our alarm and fitted some bits and bobs.

Top chap and very reasonable!

Hi NCOT,

Already talking to him but he doesn't cover Bedfordshire! He's give me some good information on some alarms though.

Locks are changed, house insurance is dealing with the stuff taken from the house and car insurance dealing with the car.

Getting there slowly

Cheers,
Phill

I purchased an Infinite Prime system from these guys:
http://www.lockeduphomesecurity.com/products.php?i...

Had it a year now and been very pleased with it.

Others will say that a wired alram is the only way to go, but as a deterrent, I think the infinite does a good job.

I purchased 6 additional sensors and a couple of wireless keypads and it came out around £450

Took me a day to install, but was relativley straightforward as locked up security actually programmed the devices for me before dispatching it.

A colleague at work also bought the same syatem upon my recomendation and has also been very pleased.

I did have a professional installer come out to give me a quote, and they were going to used 3 wired PIRS, 3 wireless and a couple of wireless door sensors. Fitted price was £1500 (bells only, not monitored)

I worked on the assumption that if a professional was happy to use part wireless system, then they cant be all bad.

A few google searches all returned positive results too.

Hope that helps
Matt

Yeah unfortunately. had a phone call from the neighbours on Monday morning (we were in the states).

We just need a bit of additional piece of mind now

Thanks matey biggrin

Have spoken to the rep for you today phill. He will be speaking to a guy for you who also went on the visit to Ireland, he thinks he can cover your area. Will let you know as soon as I know. If you are able to sort yourself before though, not a problem at all. smile

Thanks Spencer - much appreciated.

There seems to be a huge amount of different options/opinions out there!
