guys and gals,

some help if you please. my central heating has packed up. after much uming and arghing and checking i think i have discovered what the problem is but i wish to here other peoples thoughts.

it appears as if the actuator in the system has died. i have come to this conclusion by the following.

1) i have plenty of hot water
2) when hot water is on it is pummped
3) when heading is turned on the actuator does not move position and the pump does not kick in to circulate the water.

would you agree / disagree with my theory?

as for the actuator it is a drayton MA1 mid position actuator. from what i can tell the valve itself is working fine as it turns (not 360 but only a short distance.)

if it is the actuator any one have any ideas where i could get one in a hurry?

Ferg

You should get one from any decent plumbers merchant.
