I've found a house I'm interested in, but it's on the market with a few agents.

Do I approach the one who has the lowest price? Or do I go between them to negotiate lower (it looks like a distress sale!).

It would be better in the long term to go for the agent who is the most professional. Do you know the agents in question or is it an out of area search?

Seems to be more of a common thing these days - but I've only ever seen them with two agents but still at the same price.

It does look a bit desperate, but they could just be frustrated with the first agent they picked.

Must admit I'm thinking about doing the same thing in the new year to try and speed things up a bit.

If you have already viewed it then the agent who showed you is the only one who will receive commission and therefore the only one who'll want to handle it. However, if you haven't seen it then I would phone all the people its on with and use the agent who you feel is most honest and straightforward to deal with.
Don't worry about the different pricing. If you get to the point of offer then you can always quote the advert you saw at lower price (print off or save somewhere).
