Parsley

I grew parsley last year & it has now gone to seed. I grew some this year & that's ready to eat.
I think the plants only last 2 seasons anyway. I would like to save the seeds & use them for the next plants, what is the best way to go about this. When should I harvest the seeds, how do I store them & when should I germinate them?

Yes, parsley's biennial.

I'd be tempted to do as nature intended — gather the seeds & sow them immediately where you want them to grow. Germination can be a bit erratic. Keep the compost moist but not over-wet.
