How much to pay for kitchen / bathroom fitter in E London?
Discussion
Chaps,
Quickie.
I am looking to renovate a flat we own in East London, for rental. It has an old bathroom and an old kitchen, both of which will need replacing.
So, two questions.
1. How much should I be looking to pay someone to do bathroom and kitchen fitting, per day? (Not design, not planning, just removing old cupboards and putting new ones in, fitting the bathroom ceramics, tiling and painting?)
2. Where would you go looking for bathroom ceramics and kitchen units and worktops? Again, nothing fancy. I was going to look at toolstation, unless anyone has any better ideas.
Oli.
P.S. If anyone has any recommended tradesmen for point 1. above then PM me - thanks.

No idea who to suggest as i'm from the S.West
But for strip out, i'd highly recommend doing it yourself, it won't take very long to strip out a small kitchen & bathroom - maybe a day at the most.
You can also paint it all yourself & tiling is easy too.
I'm a complete novice at stuff like this, but i've painted the OH's house for her, it's boring but saves her loads of cash to spend on other stuff!

Lawrence,
Thanks. Yes, I may well do the strip out myself, and will do quite a lot of the fitting myself. I've done kitchens before and they aren't hard. (And I will insist on doing the worktops myself with a router.)
The tiling and painting is all time consuming tho'. And the debate is whether to take time off work to do it myself (appealing, but I am paid by the day so I'd lose money on this) or whether to pay someone else to do it. And I want it done as soon as possible, of course, as I would like to re-let it as soon as I can ...
An idea of how much I'd be paying to have the job done would be useful as I can then start making some plans.
