Where to live, on a tube line decent distance away? Skint
Discussion
Following on from another thread, where are good places to live in/near London, with good access to the tube, for people that can't afford multiples of thousands of pounds a month? I'm talking £800 to about £1,000 per month rent. I can afford more but I'm trying to save so wouldn't want to spend it all on rent.
Houses only, no flats or house shares, and I've got a dog so a garden would be good but if not then at least close to somewhere to walk it.
My destination tube station is Tower Hill.
I only know a few areas in London and I wouldn't want to live in them for any amount of money in the world, (Newham as an example - it's like Beirut in the 70's)!

Have a friend who has just moved to the isle of dogs ( think thats the spelling) and they have a dog and keeping it in a 3 floor flat, is that out of the question?Houses only, no flats or house shares, and I've got a dog so a garden would be good but if not then at least close to somewhere to walk it.

I can find out more details if not.

I think you will struggle for a house with that budget inside the M25 somewhere nice
I spent nearly 10 years down there for work and lived in Brentwood, just outside M25, 40 mins on the train into Liverpool street
you could rent a nice 2 bed house for £800-1000 a month there
I'll have a look there, thanks. A bit of a distance out of London doesn't bother me.I spent nearly 10 years down there for work and lived in Brentwood, just outside M25, 40 mins on the train into Liverpool street
