Hi,

Last week I discovered I have no heating or hot water. Following a flow chart in the manual and having a poke with a neon screwdriver I decided that the "safety thermostat"* was at fault - bypassing it resulted in both CH & HW working.
Left everything off while away for the weekend and replaced the part on Sunday night. CH & HW work again but I found the fan is running continuous.
I suspect I'll be replacing a "fan overrun thermostat"* but I see no harm in asking the collective wisdom of PH if there is more I should be looking into?

None of the flow charts appear to go into fan running continuously problem solving.

Sounds very much like the Pump Overrun Thermostat. Although as this reports to the PCB there is a slim chance......

Hopefully you're still following the thread.

Can't find anything in the manual named pump overrun thermostat.

I pulled out the one labled fan overrun thermostat (Maybe it is the same thing?) and it is in a permanently closed state so I certainly suspect that is one fault.

However with power restored with that part out the fan still runs so there is more to be concerned about. I now beyond my problem solving tallent although I am comfortable with a soldering iron if I thought the PCB needed work.
