Thats the closest to the ones I use or used to before Fischer stopped making them, any ideas of an alternative?

I use these on thermalite walls together with a length of studding and a washer and nut, basically drill all the way through the block, colapse the anchor and push it through the hole, open it up on the other side using the long plastic arms, screw in a lenght of pre cut studding and you have about the strongest fixing into thermolite you can get, I use it for mounting Plasma TV's on single/double arm brackets.

The only other thing I have come across is gravity anchors, anyone care to share their expertese?

used resin in the past for fixings, resin also comes in glass tubes as an alternate version

I've used the Fisher resin, it works well but can be expensive.

I have used standard stud with expanding foam, you need to drill out an over size hole, say 14mm for a 10mm stud, make sure you brush or blow out any dust in the hole. Squirt in the foam to fill the hole and quickly push in the stud, push the stud in and out a few times to spread the foam, then wait to set.

I've also done this with Gripfil however this takes an age to go off, no good if your in a hurry!

I have used the Toggler Snaptoggles before. Look very similar to what you linked but I can only speak of their merits on plasterboard as that's all I have used them on.

Seem to be loads of suppliers stocking them
