Just took all my old stuff out in prep' for the Combi' (I know, I know) so how much is a copper cylinder worth? It's one of those that's coated in insulation btw.

Depends on the size. I got £50 for one yesterday. Copper prices are quite high at the moment.

Where do you actually take it to sell though? I've got one which has been sat in my shed for a couple of years after I had a combi installed. I need to empty the shed out in preparation for replacing it so was just going to take the cylinder to the council tip and chuck it in a skip. Could I actually get some scrap value for it by taking it somewhere else then?

Yup. Look up non-ferrous metal dealers in the Yellow Pages. Or ask at a plumber's merchant where there is one.
