Get a local beekeeper to come and get them...you can find one from here: http://www.britishbee.org.uk/swarm_help.php

Looks more like a cat with carbuncles - you're safe.

I went into my garden shed today and found the start of a wasps nest...roughly golf ball size. So I knocked it to the ground, and stomped on it a few times and then disposed of what was left (paper like material)

What's the chances of them coming back?

High. The call to Wasp Command has gone in and an aggressive swarm are on their way. Keep the windows closed, HTH.

Nice result - was it a domestic colony that escaped?

stomping on it a few times ! you sure you have destroyed it?, best way just set fire to it in the shed. trust me. They wont come back nuts although you may not have a shed left either..... but dont let that worry you, its the only way to be sure......

I'll bet he was happy. A bee colony will cost the best part of £200 at the moment, if not more. We've just ordered ours and got a good deal at £175.

Fingers crossed the little critters get a good summer this year.

Yeah - just been told that by a guy at work. No wonder he turned up within 10 minutes of me phoning. I was just glad to get rid. This is the second time in the last 10 years we have been invaded. Last time they left yellow dots of honey all over the cars. Perhaps we should get a hive.
