Any flat roofers on here???
Discussion
If there is please could you have a look at this pic and tell me if this pic looks ok???

We had it done today and we've since found out that one of our neighbours has damage to thier UPVC fascia and guttering caused by the blow torch used by the roofer.
With regards to the pic, we wondered if there should be some many joins up against the brick wall??
TIA
Mel

The roof is quite big due to a couple of extentions. It was supposed to be a two man job but the guy (who was really nice) did it all on his own. We felt that if he'd have had the second guy was there he could have done it in one long piece, hense why he kept burning things with his blow torch

Looks like the felt has just been stuck to the vertical wall to me. That'll leak. Only one way, lead flashing cut into the wall.
What he said
Should be covered with a lead flashing........ especially for a Grand!Eta.... He hasn't even put a tilting fillet against the wall!

The felt to the wall should have been chased in and then either a lead or similar flashing detail also fixed in the chase and securely fixed - done as it is will produce a premature failing at the weakest point.
The upstand detail ideally should be done in strips 1m wide as per the roll - but sometimes they do use off cuts which is fine as long as it still looks tidy and all the laps are secure.
Go back to your roofer and tell him you want some form of flashing adding and chased in to the wall, lead or lead replacememt - even a black GRP trim would do.
