Hi All,

I have just been to Howden and they are offering me a 70% discount.

I order about 2-3 kitchens pa and I might have recieved 72% discount in the past.

Is this about right?

Can I get the same quality, rigid/ready built units and doors elsewhere?

Sorry for all the questions.

The price that a regular punter walking in off the street would be quoted.

It's to enable the installer to make a bit on the deal.

Makes me wonder what the margin is on 'boutique' kitchens it has to be said.

fitted many??

I have, and can honestly say they are not bad, ok not hand made craftmanship but bloody good value for money especially now they have beefed up the rear panels ans improved the soft close and the end panels I have fitted we're 28mm so not crap. I'll post a few pic's of my latest kitchen soon as it is nearly finished. Like every thing in life you get what you pay for and I think if you can buy direct from Howdens and like a bit of haggling good deals can be had, I have just paid <7k for a average sized hi-gloss kitchen with built in fridge, dish washer, Bosch double built under oven, induction hob and glass extractor, not bad I think.

yes, fitted too many tbh, boutique kitchens as you call them have no where near that margin. i don't know how many units you got for 7k but I'm sure I could beat that on a supply only basis

I intend re-modelling my kitchen in a few months. When I have a plan I'll see if you can 'quote me happy' wink
