After much consideration, we've decided to sell this house rather than rent it out. In the past we've seen some shocking pictures of properties for sale in agent windows and on the web so I thought I'd have a go myself. The agent is happy to use any photo that we can supply.

So which one of these do you think I should use?

2 for me - it looks more professional.

1 looks too angled and cropped.

Agree about above comments on both.

Additionally, picture 1 could be on a street front with people walking immediately past it. 2 shows it has a front area, so more private.

2 for me but smarten it up.

Can you take it at a time of day when the house has the sun shining on it?
And put a pot plant or two out the front to break up the cement?

If you or anyone you know has an aspirational car, park it on the drive, and you will get a better price. Well researched.

please do not be offended but the house looks a bit too clinical, soften it up with some plants

Thanks for all the comments, I agree on them all as it happens.

Do either a 370Z or new Volvo estate fall into the category of "aspirational car" ?

The frontage was previously much dirtier, covered in green algae, but it has recently had a professional jet wash. I will get some new gravel down to smarten the place up a bit.

The only reason there are no hanging baskets or pot plants is the problem of watering them. I dont really want to go round there every day just to tend to the plants.

I did try and catch it in the sun but I was a bit too late (7PM) - now it seems the sunny weather has left us for a few days frown

Neither really look like estate agent photos, which will make it seem odd on Rightmove. Try taking a pic from further away showing the situation, neighbours, road outside.

I was trying to make it look different intentionally!

How about this one?

This one looks good to me. Do agree with jas though, a couple of pot plants, near the front door for example would give it the edge. Certainly looks well cared for and tidy externally.

Good luck smile

P.S. Veyron makes you look like a Pimp wink Think you would attract the bib with that one judgesmile

Cross the road and use a longer lens - it will cut out the house on the left .

Lack of grass on verge = cars park illegally on the grass = council estate, normally.

HTH biggrin

Photoshop some grass in and show it's in a lovely nature filled part of the world with a few birds flying around, maybe even a fox....oh no hang on.

Ps. Yes I know the tree has killed the grass, or maybe dogs peeing up it. Damn nature killing trees. hehe
