Trying to finalise plans for a new kitchen and it seems you can get everything (cookers, washing machines etc) integrated apart from condensing tumble dryers...or am I wrong?
Despite ferreting around the net I can't come up with anything.

Can't use a vented unit as all available space is taken up with sink, CH boiler, etc on external wall. Dont' want to use combined washer/dryer and I really don't want the eyesore of a freestanding white lump sitting in the middle of a run of cabinets.

Is there such a beast as an integrated condensing dryer? Or can a freestanding dryer be hidden within a standard base unit carcass and door?

Any advice appreciated smile

If true, it might be because integrated units are shallower from front to back and so may not have room for a condenser.

A free-standing appliance would probably be 600mm wide, meaning that by the time you'd put a box round it, you'd need a door at least 630mm wide - probably impossible as it's not a standard size, and the hinges would foul the machine. (Integrated appliances have door hinges that mount to the appliance not the carcass). Depends on the door design and how ingenious you are at modifying things. Due to the extra depth, you'd also need a wider worktop - maybe 650mm+ not 600mm - and have to space all the other units forward. Nothing is impossible, it just depends how determined you are!
