I,m after some new taps and a bath, i have a catalogue of products from a local plumbing suppliers and the prices are quite expensive- however the quality is (or at least looks) very very good.

Now of course i have looked over the net and have found items which appear to be exactly the same- but for a lot less money.

example of a bath

Locally this would be double the price, would have a different name and will actually state it comes with a 20yr guarantee.

I,m in the building trade and realise that a lot of products out there are just rebranded and re packaged and then doubled in price, i assume the same goes for taps etc?

Can anyone recomend somewhere to get nice quality stuff from which wont be sloppy after a few months use?

Ideal Standard is a good quality product for the money and is fitted in many public buildings for this reason. They do a good range of modern and traditional designs. Kaldewei make good baths.

Supplied by most builder's merchants, you will also get a good discount if in the trade.

As a bathroom installer of 10 years experience, you get what you pay for. Ideal standard is OK. Thats all.

That's not a bath - it's a trough! Seriously though, that back slope looks very uncomfortable.
