Any boiler experts here (Glow Worm code F1)?
Discussion
Our boiler (a Flexicom HX) has just making a bubbling/boiling sound and has the "F1" error code on the LCD, pressing the reset button has no effect.
We've turned off the heating at the timer unit and British Gas will be out tomorrow - just curious if anyone has any knowledge of these as to what it might be?
Thanks.

F1 is a lockout.
In my experience it's been a failure of the flame rectification circuit often dirty ignition electrodes, but it could be anything from a gas failure to a blocked condensate trap.
Edited to add, I thought you could reset that. Off and On at the wall?

Blocked condensate trap as it turns out. One of those things that once you see the gas man take it apart and clean it you think "Doh!" but at the same time we pay for cover so I'm not about to start taking it to pieces. In my experience it's been a failure of the flame rectification circuit often dirty ignition electrodes, but it could be anything from a gas failure to a blocked condensate trap.
