12v 24v inverter sparky question.

will a 12v to 240v inverter with a peak output of 1200w and a cont output of 800w, power a hoover (numatic george) rated at 1200w?

will the hoover run with 800w?
is the 1200w listed on the numatic website a start up power requirement?

1200W will be the running draw. It'll draw a lot more than that at start up & it'll be heavily reactive as a load. So no nowt like enough I'd suggest.

Better, but still pushing it a bit I'd say.

Try it and see; (probably) the worst that can happen is the inverter gets hot and burns out. Watch it carefully and see how hot it does get ...
