Flat hunting - advice needed
Discussion
Thanks guys *blush* - the fun of trying to post from a Blackberry whilst on a moving train somewhere in Norethern Germany :S And thanks to the mods for adding a title. And how do you access a thread w/o a title.. cos I couldn't to read it once I'd seen what had happen - I remember typing in a title... ahh, the joys!
Anyway, yes - looking for good areas in Portsmouth - don't know whether her budget would stretch to flats actually at GunWharf - but a list of areas to avoid within the city would be useful...

Portsmouth, in generalTo be slightly more helpful, just across the river in Gosport, there are some quite cool converted flats. Have a look for "The Officer's Quarters" or "the Quarterdeck". I lived in the Officers' Quarters (oddly enough, when I was an RN Officer). I wanted the QD as it looks out over the harbour.
Both places are about 700 a month for a 2 bed. I must say, the area is a s
thole and so a nice house or flat is a necessary oasis in a desert of steaming anal juice that is Pompey/Gosport.HTH
