Is anyone a bit nervous
Discussion
Is anyone really nervous about the size of their heating bill from this winter? I know I am. Last winter we had a £500/qtr gas bill. This year I have a child born on the 3rd Dec to keep warm.
I know I'm jut going to have to suck it up and pay but I do see energy suppliers as legalised thieves.

Don't forget one child was born in a stable with no heating and went on to become quite famous!
Albeit mainly famous for being nailed to a cross and left to die. I think I'll pass on the kind of fame, if you don't mind...Oh, and it's worth pointing out that the daytime temperature in Bethlehem at the moment is 22 degrees, despite the fact that the sun isn't shining.

That would mean driving into town, possible car parking costs which would probably be the equivalent of the energy costs saved...so
no real saving
I'm not worried about it, just expecting a doubling of electricity bill this quarter....I could always put on another jumper
Yeah, that was my conclusion in the end (work from home but could equally work in library if I'm sly about it).
no real saving

On 16 December I had the oil tank filled to 95% capacity, about 1,200 litres of gasoil. I will run out of oil on Tuesday morning, thus having consumed 1,200 litres in 27 days at a cost of 630 pounds. Beat that!
I was about to say I could beat that - we burnt £200 of propane in 14 days heating a leaky 17th century thatched cottage Christmas 2000. But I see you're ahead of me by about 50%. Top global warming there.
