Is there a legal time that powertools can/cannot be used?

ie the bloke on the jack hammer who woke me up at 7. 30 this morning.

Anyone know of any regulations?

Sure it was a jackhammer and not just a pounding head that felt like one?

Ha ha.

No, im convinced it was next door, i heard it clearly due to last night being deemed a 'spare room' offence by the other half.

I think 7.30am is a little unreasonable in a built up area but then I am also hearing a voice at the back of my head saying between 7am and 11pm is ok to make noise...

Most building site planning permissions say 0730 on weekdays.

Indeed! Whatever you do, Emsman, do not pick up a chainsaw or an angle grinder!

Council firing up industrial petrol hedge trimmers a few metres away from where I was sleeping the other morning. At 7:20am...

had a quick google as I have the little voice telling me I've read between 11pm and 6AM that noise needs to be kept to a minimum, but found nothing

Just a few beers with some PH'ers.

Not been drinking much recently due to medication, so gave it a good go last night.

Stopped in the local on the way home for a couple more.

It would appear that my version of 'not late' is somewhat different to hers.

Hence i was exiled to the spare room- very cold, much like the atmosphere in the house this morning.

With some irony, given that when i got home on tuesday having been at the doctors all bloody afternoon, no lights on, handbag still there, her mobile in the handbag and so on.
She had walked to the post office at half 2 in the afternoon, saw the landlady waving, went for a drink, and was still in the local having drunk a bottle and a half of sherry between them. I met her at 6, and she was plastered- comedy pissed in fact.

The reason for this was made clear afterwards- it snowed, and we always have sherry when it snows.

Well done love
