Best House You've Come Across?

Just watching Grand Designs and it always makes me want to build my own house (bit young and in the wrong country!!).

None-the-less, I LOVE looking at houses. Watching the build process is amazing sometimes. I even go through the estate agents sometimes just to be nosey and admire the big/old houses.

What's the best house you have come across? Has anyone here built their own house before?

I never had house envy until I saw that in the paper. Last sold for about 2 million quid I think.

What size did you end up with garage wise. I am building my own place with the garage completed afterwards. Planning issues unfortunatly dictated going down this route
