im near completion of converting a house into flats, but have just run out of home insurance (was insured as a house)

as the place hasnt been officially signed off by my local council builing inspector yet, i am not sure if i can get insurance.

i need to insure the builing as 2 seperate flats. i live in one, and one is let. there are a few mor details i dont wish to post on here (nothing sinister !)

does anybody work in insurance that can help me ?

Give insurance_jon a try, he seems to have access to products to cover most things...

i bought a house that had been subdivided and i turned it back into one single dwelling. used towergate for a combined home/contents/renovations policy that turned out to be very robust and was cheaper than a normal home/contents.

only needed to claim under the contents as i was burgled and had everything i owned taken. the claims process was like pulling teeth and took 8mths to sort out, largely due to the 3rd party claims investigator.
